Having heard the divinely inspired words of the Archangels, the Most Holy Virgin was more troubled than before; I proclaimed this Nativity to Her. Seeing the Archangel of the greatness of the Most Pure Faith, he spoke to Her: The verbs that you told me are customs of the birth of mortal men, but Jesus, the Creator of nature, does not work for the laws of nature, the Maiden. Thou didst bring all-contrite singing, O Most Pure One, when, after the departure of the Archangel, Thou didst visit the righteous Elizabeth of Thy south and proclaimed to her the joy of the annunciation, in gladness of spirit, saying: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and My spirit rejoices in God My Savior. On April 7, the Russian Orthodox Church celebrates the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos. The Liturgy on this day was led by the Dean of the churches of the Berezniki district, Archpriest Mikhail Shekel. He was concelebrated by Hieromonk Lazar (Babichev) and Priest Artemy Afanasyev.

Annunciation and establishment of the sacrament of Body and Blood. What a combination! We partake of the true Body and true Blood of Christ, the same ones that were received in the Incarnation from the immaculate blood of the Most Pure Virgin Theotokos. Thus, in the Incarnation, which took place at the hour of the Annunciation, the foundation was laid for the sacrament of the Body and Blood. And now this is brought to the memory of all Christians, so that, remembering this, they honor the Most Holy Theotokos as their true Mother, not only as a prayer book and intercessor, but also as a nourisher of all. Children feed on their mother’s milk, and we feed on the Body and Blood, which come from the Most Holy Virgin Mary.

The Lord sleeps in the tomb with his body, but with his soul He descended into hell and preached salvation to the souls there. All the Old Testament saints were not in paradise, although they remained in the comforting faith that they would be brought there as soon as the Promised One, in whom they lived by faith, came to earth. His coming was foreshadowed there too by the Forerunner. When the Lord descended, all who believed clung to Him and were elevated to paradise by Him. But this paradise is only the threshold of a real paradise, which will open after the general resurrection and judgment. In it, all the New Testament saints, although blessed, expect even greater, most perfect bliss in the next century, with a new heaven and a new earth, when God will be all in all.

At the Liturgy on this day, 15 paremias of the Triodion are read, which contain prototypes of the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ and prophecies about the advent of the gracious Kingdom of the Lord and the glory of the New Testament Church.

Before the Shroud - the reading of the Apostle of Great Saturday and the Annunciation. Instead of the Cherubic Song, the reverent and reverent song “Let all human flesh be silent” is sung at the Liturgy.

After the dismissal - the blessing of five loaves of bread and wine - in memory of the fact that the ancient Christians, remaining in the church after the Saturday liturgy until Easter Matins, by eating consecrated bread and wine, strengthened themselves for the feat of vigil on this sacred and saving night, the forerunner of the radiant day of the Resurrection.

This morning many parishioners gathered in the church in honor of St. Luke (Voino-Yasenetsky). The worshipers stood from the doors of the temple to the beautifully decorated “coffin” with the Shroud, tightly surrounding it. Today was a holiday, the Feast of the Annunciation. But very soon - in 12 hours - Holidays Holiday - Easter - Holy Resurrection of Christ!

At the end of the service, with the blessing of the rector of the church, Archpriest Mikhail Shekel, another festive event took place for the youngest parishioners - the release of balloons with birds - symbols of the Annunciation! Those gathered watched with delight the flight of multi-colored balloons!

After a colorful holiday for children - Fr. Mikhail blessed Easter cakes, Easter eggs, Easter eggs and other food products brought by parishioners. Parishioners happily placed their faces and beautifully decorated baskets of food under the drops of holy water.

And many times when I repent, I find myself lying before God, and I repent, trembling, lest the Lord strike me, and little by little I do the same thing.
Know this, my Lady, the Most Holy Theotokos, why don’t you have mercy, why don’t you strengthen me, and why don’t you always grant me to do good?
Weigh, O Lady, for the imam is by no means in hatred of my evil deeds and with all my thoughts I love the law of my God.
But we don’t know, Most Pure Lady, where I come from, even when I hate, I create, and I transgress.

For this reason, we pray to Thee: fill us with the surpassing heights of Your humility, so that we can contain Your tree, so that we may bring Thee on the all-holy day of Thy Annunciation of Thy from Thy, in which we cannot think high in every matter, but will endure in the humility of the spirit.
Decorate yourself with this first virtue, on the bright day of this holiday of Yours.
